"These boots are surprisingly comfortable given the height. They are super hot sexy boots and my husband loves them. I knocked off one star because they are one inch too tall to make them practical, but if you don't plan to walk too much should be fine for going out. I have somewhat wide feet so I went up a half size and they fit great. I wouldn't buy if you aren't used to high heels though because they have a 5 inch heel. These boots are still over $100 at Macy's. The boots fit true to size. The light tan color is not the same as in the picture. They make me feel tall and sexy :) I wear these boots with skinny jeans and the calves are a tad roomy, but it still looks good. I'm 5'3 and the boots comes up about an inch from the knee. - Actual User Review - Amazon.com "I purchased these boots right after Christmas. I had been watching this boot at Bakers Shoes and Macy's since early fall. Priced at $199.99 I had to just watch. I was able to purchase them for $56. I did not get the color I wanted (Rugged Brown) but for $56 I could settle for the Light Tan. The color is not light at all, it is tan. It is a very high boot. And for it to be a total of 5 inches, it is very comfortable. It creates a high instep and will after time begin to tarry on your instep. I have very small calves and this boot fit perfectly. Not too loose, which is normally my problem. I am able to put my skinny jeans into the boot with out it being bulky or uncomfortable. I am a true 9.5 and Jessica Simpson shoes tend to be all over the place, but this shoe at a 9.5 was perfect. It gives my foot enough room to slide comfortably without squishing my toes. I am able to wear them all day without stress. But, again I stress, this IS a HIGH BOOT!. If you fall or trip in these, it will be a long way down."

"after much deliberation between rugged brown and tan i ordered the latter...and couldnt be more pleased with my decision. the color is great...like a true aged tan, very versatile in my opinion. for the price i have nothing to complain about in regard to the workmanship and having a true stacked wooden heel is wonderful. id say they run true to size. yes the calf opening is a little large but will work well with pants/jeans tucked in. lastly i am 5'7" and have long legs and the boots come up just below my knee (may not work for anyone with less lengthy legs). overall i am more than pleased with my purchase, in fact i am considering ordering the boots in black. ps BRAVO to amazon shipping! i used the free shipping and they arrived in less than a week.
